Summer means vacation and fun for many of us, but unfortunately the need for volunteers at the food bank doesn’t change. With many of our regular volunteers traveling and Purdue University out for the summer, Food Finders struggles to fill volunteer shifts mid-May through August. That’s where you come in – your business, club, church or organization can help! Please consider registering your organization to volunteer with us this summer for a single shift, a couple of shifts, or even adopting a shift on a weekly or monthly basis. Help fill the gap so we can ensure our neighbors facing hunger do not go without.
Who do you know involved in the following?
- Businesses or place of work (team building!)
- Church or place of worship; church camps, VBS, youth groups
- Girls Scouts & Boy Scouts
- Service clubs
- National Honor Societies
- Jr./High school sports teams
- Anyone needing to fulfill service hours
- Create your own group or volunteer individually!
Volunteer shifts are available during the day, evening and weekends. We have opportunities for individuals, groups and families. If you don’t see something that meets your needs, call us so we can work together to find a solution!
We’d love to partner and provide a meaningful way for you and your group to serve. This is the perfect way to provide a fun, team-bonding experience while serving our community.
Please share or hang this flyer at your home or office!
