Volunteering at Food Finders
Without Volunteers, we cannot do what we do!
Volunteers are vital to our work in serving the community and we have many opportunities both community facing and behind the scenes.
Thank you for joining us in the fight against hunger!
How to Register
How do I sign up for a shift? How do I cancel a shift?
Once you register in Volunteer Hub (click the link then Create Account at the top of the screen to register), individuals will be able to view our available shifts and sign up by clicking the Sign-Up button next to each shift.
You can cancel a shift by logging in to your account, clicking on My Schedule, and clicking Cancel Registration.
How far in advance can I sign up for a shift?
Volunteers can view and sign up for available shifts up to 3 months in advance. If you are interested in signing up for shifts further out than 3 months, please contact our Volunteer Department directly.
Do I need to register, or can I just show up for a volunteer shift?
Every volunteer needs to register individually – even if you are part of a group. Individuals can register by selecting a shift on our volunteer registration calendar. If you are a member of a group activity, the group organizer will send you a special link to sign up.
Do minors need a VolunteerHub profile?
Yes. All volunteers will need a profile for sign up and sign in purposes. Parents/legal guardians will need to create a profile for their child/children. VolunteerHub will ask you to print off the waiver and sign since your child is under 18 years old. You’ll turn the waiver into us at the start of your volunteer shift and we’ll keep it on file.

Court Ordered Community Service
Our community service program includes court-ordered community service hours, diversions, and/or hours suggested by your lawyer or probation officer in advance of being charged.
You are welcome to fulfill your court-ordered hours by volunteering at Food Finders Food Bank.
You will need to be approved before registering and starting your volunteer service.
Hours that are performed without approval will not count.
All volunteers must be registered in advance.
Guidelines and Rules:
- Potential volunteers must sign the Court Ordered Community Service Application online, prior to approval.
- We’ll provide all the training at the start of your first shift. You do not need to complete an orientation or have any prior experience
- Volunteers should register in advance after the application approval
- A copy of one of the following forms is required: Pretrial Diversion Agreement, Sentencing Order, Guilty Plea and Sentencing Order, Probation Order, Agreement to Withhold Prosecution or any paperwork from your lawyer or the courts that lists your charge/diversion
- You’ll be notified upon approval of your application
- Please cancel your shift if you’re not able to make it. Two no-call, no-shows will result in being removed from the court-ordered community service program
- A volunteer manager will sign all paperwork and hours sheets at the end of your shift
- FFFB will not sign for future hours or hours that have not been completed
- Volunteers must stay for the entire shift. You cannot sign up for a partial shift or arrive after the start of the shift
- FFFB is just one option for completing your community service hours. For a list of additional options for completing your hours, speak with Tippecanoe County Court Services tippecanoe.in.gov/652/Court-Services
