Food Finders

In The News

When Sarah, a student at Purdue was looking online for a place to volunteer in her community she came to Food Finders. Since February of 2018, she has spent over 80 hours serving in the J.P. Lisack Community Food Pantry since her first visit.
Her Tuesday afternoons and Saturday mornings are spent checking visitors into the pantry with a warm smile and kind word. She’s committed to providing a positive experience for all of our visitors, including children. Sarah brings in coloring books and crayons to keep kids entertained while they wait, and she brings this same level of kindness to her interactions with every pantry visitor.
Aside from the joy of serving and helping others, Sarah says that volunteering here has been a life-changing and eye-opening experience for her. “It has helped me have a better understanding of what goes on in the community.”
Before she graduates in May, we want to take the time to appreciate her positive addition to Food Finders as a volunteer!
Thank you, Sarah!
