Food Finders

In The News

On October 16, 1981, a dedicated group of local volunteers came together to start Food Finders Food Bank. What started 45 years ago as an effort to collect and redistribute food to local aid groups, has grown to serve 16 counties with 12 million pounds of food annually.

To celebrate this momentous occasion, we invite you to join us on October 15 for “From Vision to Impact: 45 Years of Fighting Hunger.” This panel discussion will feature several Food Finders’ founders and past leaders including Barb Ahler, Katy Bunder, Don Scheiber, and current President/CEO Kier Crites Muller. The event takes place at our warehouse (1210 N 10th St., Lafayette) from 5:30-7 p.m. Light refreshments will be served. We kindly request that you RSVP if you plan to attend this event by emailing [email protected].

Then, on October 16 at 10 a.m., we will gather at our warehouse of a ceremonial ribbon cutting to commemorate this milestone birthday, supported by Greater Lafayette Commerce.

Thank you to everyone who has, in many different ways, supported Food Finder’s mission of ending hunger in our community over the past 45 years. We look forward to celebrating with you!
