Of the more than 77,000 food insecure residents served by Food Finders, nearly seven percent are seniors 65 years of age or older. The senior population is one of the hardest hit due to lack of mobility and transportation, coupled with limited funds. Many seniors served reported having to choose between getting food or paying for medicines and medical services. The Food Finders Senior Grocery Program has been cut due to budget constraints. Food Finders has implemented Senior Pantry Day in order to meet the needs of this vulnerable population.

Food Finders holds a Senior Pantry Day on the second Thursday of the month from 1 pm to 3 pm for qualifying seniors age 60 and over.
