In the U.S., more than 38 million people–or 1 in 8 people–face hunger, including nearly 12 million children. Hunger knows no boundaries, and it impacts people in every one of the sixteen communities Food Finders serves.   

Which is why Walmart and Sam’s Club are coming together with their supplier partners, customers, members, associates, and Feeding America® member food banks like Food Finders Food Bank for the 9th annual Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign to help fight hunger in communities nationwide.

The Fight Hunger. Spark Change. campaign will run in stores/clubs and online from April 18 – May 15, 2022. There are three easy ways for customers and members to participate to support Food Finders:

  • Donate at check-out in stores and clubs or round-up at Walmart.com
  • Donate online
  • For every participating product purchased in-store or online at Walmart.com or SamsClub.com, the supplier will donate the monetary equivalent of at least one meal* ($0.10) on behalf of a Feeding America member food bank at Walmart and five meals ($0.50) at Sam’s Club, up to applicable limits.  See specially marked packages for full details.

“Every day, the Feeding America nationwide network of 200 food banks is on the ground helping children, families, and seniors who face hunger. During this pandemic, food banks will continue to distribute food to our neighbors in need,” said Claire Babineaux-Fontenot, CEO of Feeding America. “Walmart and Sam’s Club have been unwavering partners in the fight to end hunger. We are deeply thankful for their ongoing support during this unprecedented time.”

To date, the campaign has helped to secure more than 1.5 billion meals for local food banks across the country.  Fighting hunger means more than providing food to our neighbors in need.  It’s about showing up in communities to support our neighbors in a way that makes a difference.

The participating suppliers for Sam’s Club include:
Cascade (Procter & Gamble), Dole Packaged Foods, LLC; General Mills; J. M. Smucker; Kellogg’s; Keurig Dr Pepper; Materne North America; Member’s Mark; PEPSICO and Purina.
