After experiencing a $30,000 shortfall in September, fundraisers for the Hunger Hike raised $92,685, officials announced Monday. “To make up the shortfall, organizers sought grants and sent emails and letters to previous Hunger Hike donors,” said Joe Micon, executive director of Lafayette Urban Ministry, one of the beneficiaries.
