PROGRAMS

FOOD FOR FAMILIES PROGRAM
Member agencies depend on Food Finders to offer a consistent supply of healthy affordable food choices for their clients. Even a small amount of food assistance gives a family help and hope. To supply this food, Food Finders develops and maintains relationships with food manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers in our service area.  Food Finders provides an outlet to businesses for their surplus inventory items that might otherwise be wasted.  By obtaining food and non-food donations, sorting and storing product, Food Finders frees the resources of our agencies so they can focus on front line client service.
FOOD FOR CHILDREN PROGRAM
COMMUNITY OUTREACH MOBILE PANTRY
Qualified elementary school students are selected by teachers and adminstrators and sent home every Friday with a back pack full of nutritious, kid-friendly food.  Volunteers fill the packs each week.  With generous donations, we were able to provide this food.
We express our deepest appreciation to all of the businesses and individuals for the positive impact their time and generosity have on Food Finders ability to provide these programs.

Introduced in January 2010, the Food Finders Mobile Pantry brings fresh produce, dairy, meat baked goods and other essential food to distribution sites within our service area.
Mobile Pantry events are sponsored by hunger fighting agencies in cooperation with Food Finders and can provide nearly 10,000 pounds of food to service between 100 and 150 families.

For more information or to sponsor a mobile pantry event call Beth at 765.471.0062.
